Jennifer Chase, Managing Director, Boston
With more than 20 years’ experience in international executive search, Jennifer has held leadership roles for some of the world’s top global executive search consultancies. She worked in Boston as a partner with both large and smaller boutique firms, including Witt Kieffer, and Heidrick and Struggles. Prior to this, she gained 10 years experience with a specialized boutique firm, Euromedica, using her extensive knowledge in the life science industry to recruit outstanding talent for clients across Europe and Asia. In 2019, Jennifer founded her own firm, Chase Partners-LLC, and is focused on recruiting leaders who are driven to change patient lives through creative development and innovation.
Recently, Chase Partners LLC a Boston based Life Science Executive Search firm opened a Paris based office which will focus on European Executive Search operations. With this new entity lead by Nick Hicks, the firm will offer a deep expertise in building strategic partnerships with Life Sciences Companies and help Life Sciences companies hire innovative leaders with stronger understanding of patient awareness and the ability to guide research and access decisions by focusing on common interests.
Over the years, Jennifer Chase has served as a trusted adviser to many clients across Europe and North America and gained deep industry expertise helping large, mid and small cap companies to recruit leaders from a broad range of industry backgrounds including pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, diagnostics and healthcare services. She has successfully helped recruit Non-Executive Directors, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers and Vice Presidents with significant functional experience in Commercial & Business Development, Quality & Regulatory Affairs, as well as Clinical Development, Translational Medicine and Market Access. She takes a holistic approach to recruitment and client service and is always mindful that a clear understanding of a client’s business objectives, strategy, and corporate culture are critical to recruit successfully.
In her earlier career, she held executive leadership roles with Rhone-Poulenc (a French Chemical and Pharmaceutical Company) where she worked in sales, marketing and business development roles across EMEA.
A native of New England, she received a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University, and an MBA from University Pierre & Marie Curie in Paris. She is bilingual in French and English and enjoys skiing, sailing and learning about other cultures through travel.

Nick Hicks is Head of the Chase Partners, Paris office and offers executive search services to all life science companies across Europe. For the past 20 years, Iris Grimm has been coaching leaders and supporting executives to increase performance and improve upon their teams’ output as well as provide work-life balance in their lives. She believes, “In order to create high-performing teams and inspiring organizations, leaders must first perform optimally and become inspired themselves, for they cannot give what they do not have within them.”
As the founder of the Balanced Physician.com, Iris has focused her work to help physicians be at their best. For more than 15 years, one of her niches has been coaching and training healthcare providers. From practicing physicians, physicians in director positions, to physicians in C-level roles, Iris works with professionals on their critical skills and perspectives for becoming highly effective leaders.
In 2008, Nick established Commutateur Advocacy Communications and recently forged an alliance with Chase-Partners LLC bridging his patient knowledge across Europe to American based companies interested in furthering their patent focus across geographic boundaries. Previously, Nick has gained over 12 years of international experience including Biogen and Sanofi as well as 15 years experience in agencies. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated his advocacy and strategic communications ability and gained deep knowledge in diabetes, lupus, MS, pain, plasma products, renal and wound care.
He is a British citizen and currently resides in Paris, France. He received a MS in Neurochemistry at Kings College, London and later earned a Diploma from the European Market Access University (EMAUD), a unique and innovative program addressing key elements throughout each step of the drug life cycle. Since 2012, he continues to lecture on the European Market Access University Diploma bringing patient insight across the life cycle. Nick is Producer of If Medicine Could Talk, a biweekly flog on best-practice in patient engagement across the the life cycle.
Topics include emotional intelligence skills, work-life balance, better communication, mental fitness, and leadership skills. In addition, she developed an onboarding program supporting newly hired physicians in the first 3-6 months of their new employment.
Originally from East Germany, Iris resides in a suburb of Atlanta, GA. She received a Bachelor of Science from the Fachhochschule Mainz, Germany. In 1998, she began her coaching training and in 2000, she was certified as a personal and business coach. In 2002, she was certified to be a Coaching Clinic Facilitator teaching leaders to use effective coaching skills. Over the year, she also received certifications in Higher Ground Leadership and Conversational Intelligence. Currently, she is working on her certification in Positive Intelligence.
She is bilingual in German and English and enjoys being in nature. Iris is very active in dog rescue and volunteers her time fostering dogs and helping people keep their dogs in their homes.

She had been the Executive Director of Sales for The Providence Journal Company, a multimedia organization owned by Belo Corporation. At The Providence Journal Company, she oversaw sales and marketing and drove strategies, revenue, and multimedia product development. Prior to the Providence Journal, Cheryl spent 10 years in Sales and Strategic Planning at Boston.com and The Boston Globe.
Cheryl is a certified Executive Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and is a certified Analyst in the Predictive Index(r) (PI(r)) and DiSC(r). She is also certified in several 360 assessments. She is also a faculty member of the Northeast Human Resource Association (NEHRA), a SHRM chapter. Cheryl lives outside of Boston, MA with her husband and three boys.
